Lido Advisors Appoints Carson Group Veteran Dan Marquis as CFO Amid $42.5B Growth

The Los Angeles RIA adds a two-decade finance executive to its C-suite, replacing Naseem Anzari, as it scales its integrated wealth platform.

Lido Advisors, the Los Angeles-based registered investment adviser overseeing more than $42.5 billion in regulatory assets, has appointed Dan Marquis as its new chief financial officer. Marquis, a two-decade veteran of the financial services industry, succeeds Naseem Anzari, who has departed for another opportunity. The move marks the firm's third senior leadership addition in just over a year, following a period of rapid expansion.

Marquis joins Lido from Carson Group, where he served as managing director of financial planning and analysis and capital markets. In that role, he collaborated with private equity sponsors and the board on financial strategy and long-range planning. Earlier in his career, he founded Metronome Financial, a firm that deployed more than $165 million in capital without incurring credit losses, and held senior positions at Javlin Capital and Intrado Corporation.

In his new role, Marquis will oversee Lido's financial operations and partner with senior leadership and the board on capital strategy. The firm is continuing to scale its Lido One platform, which integrates investment management, tax planning, and estate planning for entrepreneurs, executives, and multigenerational families. "Dan brings the kind of long-range financial thinking that will continue to propel Lido as we grow and deepen our platform," said Jason Ozur, co-chief executive officer of Lido Advisors.

The appointment comes as Lido navigates a period of significant growth. The firm's assets under management have climbed from roughly $30 billion in mid-2025 to over $42.5 billion today, and operations now span more than 40 offices nationally. Marquis's hiring follows a broader pattern of executive transformation at the firm. Last month, Lido brought on Brian Haloossim, formerly a senior national leader at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, as president. Along with that move, founding partner Ken Stern was elevated to co-chief executive officer alongside Ozur.

Marquis's background includes deep experience in capital markets and M&A, which will be critical as Lido continues to expand its platform. "Lido has built something genuinely differentiated in the wealth management space: a platform that brings together investment management, financial planning, tax strategy, and trust and estate in a way that truly serves clients," Marquis said in a statement.

The hiring also reflects a broader trend of RIAs bolstering their C-suites with seasoned executives from larger platforms. Carson Group, Marquis's former employer, has been active in M&A itself, recently acquiring a $270 million Colorado practice to deepen its Rocky Mountain presence. Lido's leadership moves signal its ambition to compete with larger wirehouses and independent broker-dealers for top talent and client assets.

With Marquis now in place, Lido appears poised to continue its aggressive growth trajectory, leveraging its integrated platform to attract high-net-worth clients and advisors. The firm's ability to add senior talent from firms like Carson and Bernstein suggests it is building a leadership team capable of managing the complexities of a rapidly scaling RIA.
