LPL Financial has added a veteran advisor from UBS Financial Services to its broker-dealer and registered investment advisor platform. Daniel Zacharias, who managed approximately $250 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets at UBS, will now operate under Decorum Wealth Management, an existing LPL Strategic Wealth firm.
Zacharias brings nearly two decades of industry experience to his new role. He began his career in national accounts roles in Silicon Valley before transitioning into mortgage lending and later joining UBS, where he worked alongside his father to build a practice focused on long-term client relationships. His client base includes business owners, professionals, and retirees. “His multichannel industry experience and commitment to understanding clients’ financial needs align with LPL’s purpose,” said Marc Cohen, chief growth officer at LPL Financial.
In a separate series of moves, &Partners has recruited three advisor teams over the past week, representing combined prehire assets under management of roughly $1.6 billion. The first team, Wavewood Private Wealth, joined on June 12 in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with $574 million in prehire AUM. The team includes Morgan Castner, CFP, partner and managing director; Jeffrey Libman, partner and managing director; and Tara Writt, senior client relationship associate.
Brookside Wealth Advisors followed on June 16, bringing approximately $550 million in prehire AUM. That team is composed of Adam Cloyd and Don Cobb, both partners and financial advisors; Jessica “Jessie” Ebling, financial advisor; Jeana Golden, senior client associate; and Meredith Cobb and Jenna Mosley, client associates.
The most recent addition, Three Points Wealth Planners, joined with about $450 million in prehire AUM. The firm is led by founder and managing director Scott Sargent, CFP, CMFC, alongside Colten Franco, CFP, ChFC, APWA, partner and financial advisor; Betty Ahn, senior client relationship manager; and Katie Gracia, client service associate.
These moves continue a trend of advisor transitions to independent platforms. Earlier this year, LPL-affiliated Genesis Wealth hired a JPMorgan veteran with $725M, while UBS added $2B in the Southeast and Osaic lured a $300M team from Wells Fargo. Separately, TritonPoint Partners added a second father-son team, and Merrill hired a $450M duo from Morgan Stanley.
The influx of teams to &Partners underscores the growing appeal of the independent broker-dealer and RIA model, as advisors seek greater flexibility and ownership. With combined prehire AUM of $1.6 billion, these additions bolster &Partners’ footprint across the Northeast and Midwest.
