WealthReach and VastAdvisor Unite to Merge Organic and Paid Prospect Targeting

The partnership aims to eliminate wasteful marketing by feeding AI-detected prospect interest into paid ad campaigns, improving conversion for advisory firms.

Two wealth technology firms are joining forces to address a persistent challenge for financial advisors: the disconnect between organic marketing efforts and paid advertising campaigns. WealthReach, a New York-based platform focused on organic growth for registered investment advisors, and VastAdvisor, an AI-driven operating system for wealth management firms, announced a partnership designed to bridge that gap.

The collaboration will allow WealthReach to identify anonymous website visitors and individuals actively researching advisory services through search engines or AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. These leads will then be fed into VastAdvisor's system, which creates and manages targeted paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. When a prospect clicks on an ad, they land on a WealthReach-built website, where the firm's Convert tool identifies the visitor and their search intent, enabling advisors to follow up even without a form submission.

According to the announcement, this approach aims to shift marketing budgets away from broad, untargeted audiences and toward prospects who have already demonstrated interest. It also addresses the problem of purchased leads that may be sold to multiple competing firms. Michael Barrasso, co-founder and CEO of WealthReach, said in a statement that advisors previously had no way to know if their marketing dollars were reaching the right people. He argued that targeting prequalified prospects eliminates the 'spray-and-pray' approach, leading to better engagement and higher conversion rates.

Ian Karnell, CEO of VastAdvisor, attributed the sluggish growth of many advisory firms to their reliance on lead brokers and referrals, which he said fail to capture the full range of available prospects. He described the partnership as creating a seamless organic growth marketing opportunity, from identifying the strongest prospects to having a website that validates a prospect's choice. David DeCelle, co-founder and chief partnerships officer at WealthReach, added that scattered, generic outreach has been the central failure of advisor marketing, and that knowing exactly who is in-market allows for more substantive first conversations.

The partnership is now active for firms that already work with both companies. Both organizations come to the deal with recent funding. Last week, VastAdvisor closed a $1 million SAFE round led by industry leaders including Dani Fava of Carson Group and advisortech expert Jason Pereira. WealthReach closed a $1 million seed round in June, led by Cecure Corporation, a financial-services holding company co-founded by Robert S. Schwartz.

This collaboration reflects a broader trend in wealth technology toward integrating AI and data analytics into marketing and client acquisition. As AI-driven consolidation in wealthtech continues, firms are seeking more efficient ways to connect with prospects. The partnership also highlights the growing importance of trust in advisor selection, as personalized outreach can help build that trust from the first interaction.

For advisors, the potential benefits are clear: reduced wasted ad spend, higher conversion rates, and more meaningful conversations with prospects who are already interested. However, the success of such partnerships will depend on execution and the ability to integrate seamlessly into existing workflows. As the wealth management industry becomes increasingly competitive, tools that promise to optimize marketing efforts are likely to gain traction.

WealthReach and VastAdvisor are not alone in this space. Other firms are also exploring ways to leverage AI for prospect identification and engagement. The reshaping of compliance and AI search through recent deals indicates that the intersection of technology and marketing is a key area of innovation. Whether this partnership will deliver on its promises remains to be seen, but it represents a step toward more data-driven, efficient marketing for advisory firms.
