Three major wealth-management firms have announced a series of advisor hires this week, collectively bringing on teams that managed more than $1.2 billion in client assets. The moves span independent broker-dealers, employee channels, and wirehouses, reflecting continued competition for experienced advisors.

LPL adds $350M Florida team

LPL Financial said that Matt Roberts and Kent Voges have joined Frontline Investment Advisors, an LPL-affiliated practice supported by 15 Wealth. The two advisors, who have worked together for 24 years, moved their Tampa-based practice from Valic Financial Advisors, now known as Corebridge Financial. They reported serving approximately $350 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets.

The team focuses on individuals and families preparing for or living in retirement, as well as helping the next generation build and preserve wealth. Carol Gray provides operational support. Roberts emphasized the importance of listening and education in their client approach, while Voges noted that the operational backing from 15 Wealth and Frontline allows them to streamline their business and dedicate more time to clients.

Raymond James adds two teams managing more than $500M

Raymond James & Associates (RJA), the firm's employee advisor channel, added two separate teams in the Midwest. Abby Stancik and Julie Sabransky joined RJA in Deerfield, Illinois, operating as Stancik & Sabransky Wealth Management of Raymond James. The pair arrived from Wells Fargo, where they managed more than $200 million in client assets, serving individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and retirees. They are joined by client service associates Melissa Hypes and Blake Carpenter. Stancik brings 27 years of industry experience, and Sabransky has 32 years.

Separately, Michael Rose and Scott Gillespie joined RJA in Lafayette, Indiana, forming Pathway Advisory Group after departing Stifel, where they managed $316 million in client assets. The team, joined by senior registered service associate Patty Horner, works with individuals, families, and small business owners, with an emphasis on multi-generational wealth planning, retirement, and education strategies. Rose has 25 years in the industry, and Gillespie began his financial services career in 2000.

These additions follow other recent moves at Raymond James, including the recruitment of a $1.1 billion Baird team in Pennsylvania and a $5.4 billion Comerica team in California, as the firm continues to expand its advisor force.

UBS welcomes ex-Morgan Stanley duo in Ohio

In Kenwood, Ohio, UBS added financial advisors Mitch Edwards and Jeff Stanley, who joined from Morgan Stanley to form The Stanley Edwards Group within the firm's Ohio-Indiana-Kentucky market. Edwards, a U.S. Air Force veteran, brings experience serving pre-retirees, retirees, and business owners through wealth planning and investment management, having held roles including senior vice president, wealth management, and senior portfolio manager at his prior firm. Stanley focuses on helping clients preserve and manage wealth through customized financial planning built around individual and family priorities.

The moves come amid a broader trend of advisor mobility, with firms like LPL and Raymond James actively recruiting. For example, LPL and Raymond James recently traded advisors as $940 million in assets shifted platforms, and Ameriprise, Prospera, and Raymond James added three teams with a combined $920 million. Meanwhile, UBS has seen teams move to rivals, such as two UBS teams managing $2 billion moving to RBC and Raymond James.

As the competition for experienced advisors intensifies, firms are leveraging culture, support, and succession planning to attract talent. The latest hires underscore the importance of providing advisors with the resources to serve clients effectively while growing their practices.
