Three nationally recognized registered investment advisors—Lido Advisors, OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners, and Bogart Wealth—have bolstered their executive ranks with new hires and promotions aimed at accelerating organic growth and merger-and-acquisition strategies.
Lido Advisors Names President, Elevates Founder to Co-CEO
Los Angeles-based Lido Advisors, which oversees more than $42.5 billion in regulatory assets under management—nearly double the $24 billion it reported 18 months ago—has appointed Brian Haloossim as president and promoted founding partner Ken Stern to co-chief executive officer alongside existing CEO Jason Ozur. The firm operates across more than 40 offices with roughly 250 employee-owners.
Haloossim joins from Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where he spent over two decades in senior national leadership roles focusing on complex clients and business owners. At Lido, he will oversee organic growth, brand development, and expansion of private wealth capabilities. Ozur said Haloossim has “built businesses, elevated offerings and spent decades earning the trust of clients through extraordinary complexity.” Stern’s elevation formalizes an operational role he has long held as a founding partner; both Ozur and Stern will remain on the investment committee.
The moves follow last summer’s additions of Justin Barish as chief marketing officer and Elena Ro, a former longtime leader at the Securities and Exchange Commission, as chief compliance officer and special counsel.
OnePoint BFG Taps NorthRock Veteran for Strategy and M&A
Parsippany, New Jersey-based OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners, which has crossed $16 billion in assets under management, appointed Sam Cari as chief strategy officer, a newly created role. Cari will oversee corporate strategy, advisory delivery, and M&A activity, reporting directly to CEO Andy Schwartz. He will be based in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Cari spent more than a decade at NorthRock Partners, where he helped guide the firm from $600 million to $11 billion in AUM. At NorthRock, he was named the firm’s youngest-ever partner, led acquisitions, ran the enterprise risk management program, and founded the trust and estate planning practice. Schwartz noted that Cari’s “combination of strategic vision, deal experience and deep understanding of advisory delivery” makes him a strong fit as the firm continues to expand its national presence through aligned partnerships.
The hire comes amid a string of recent acquisitions for OnePoint BFG, including deals with Spahn Financial Partners late last year, Voyage Wealth Architects, and earlier this month, Armstrong & Sinoff Financial.
Bogart Wealth Creates Corporate Development Role to Guide Acquisitions
Bogart Wealth, a fee-only RIA founded in 2016 that focuses on corporate executives and Fortune 500 professionals, named Bryce Black as director of corporate development—a newly created position. Black will lead sourcing, evaluation, and integration of potential partner firms as Bogart pursues a selective M&A strategy.
Black brings more than a decade of experience across corporate development and consulting, including involvement in over a dozen acquisitions spanning RIA mergers and wirehouse lift-outs. He previously served as senior vice president of corporate development at Robertson Stephens and held roles at Focus Financial Partners and PwC. President Jeff Fuhrman said the firm is focused on partners where there is “a strong cultural fit, a clear client benefit, and a shared belief in where the business can go.”
Bogart’s existing client focus—complex benefit compensation, retirement planning, and career transitions for employees at large companies—will guide which partnership targets it pursues.
