Prudential Advisors, the wealth management division of insurance giant Prudential Financial, has entered a sponsorship agreement with InvestmentNews to support three industry events in 2025: the InvestmentNews Awards, the Women Advisor Summit, and the Women to Watch awards. The partnership aims to recognize outstanding performance across the wealth management sector amid ongoing transformation.

Mike Klein, chief marketing officer at Prudential Advisors, said the sponsorship aligns with the firm's evolution toward a comprehensive wealth management model. Prudential Advisors employs roughly 3,000 advisors and focuses on delivering integrated financial solutions spanning investments, protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax considerations.

The InvestmentNews Awards ceremony is scheduled for June 24 at the Edison Ballroom near Times Square in New York. Now in its third year, the event has expanded to 25 award categories covering both individual and organizational achievements. Organizers reported receiving hundreds of nominations, which have been narrowed to approximately 150 finalists.

Klein emphasized the importance of recognition in an industry undergoing significant change. He noted that awards provide an opportunity to pause and acknowledge the hard work of advisors, a practice common in other professions. The sponsorship also extends to the Women Advisor Summit and Women to Watch awards later this year, which Klein described as a natural fit given Prudential Advisors' internal focus on diversity and talent development.

According to recent data from AdvizorPro, women represent only 26% of practicing financial advisors in the United States. Representation varies by channel: broker-dealers have about 31% female advisors, wirehouses 30.6%, hybrid advisors roughly 25%, and registered investment advisors (RIAs) lag at 18% to 20%. Klein acknowledged that the industry has fewer women than it should and stressed that future growth depends on attracting, developing, and elevating diverse talent and leadership.

The sponsorship comes as Prudential Advisors continues to shift from an insurance-centric model to a broader wealth management platform. The firm's participation in these events underscores its commitment to industry recognition and diversity initiatives, which are increasingly seen as critical to long-term competitiveness.

For advisors seeking to benchmark their practices, InvestmentNews recently launched its 2026 Benchmarking Study, inviting advisory firms to contribute data for a comprehensive report. Additionally, the publication named its 5-Star Wealth Management Teams for 2026, reflecting shifting client trust dynamics. These resources complement the awards and summits sponsored by Prudential Advisors.
